Not exactly the imposing image you’d want to brand your team with, but hey, that’s capitalism.

Expect Little Caesars Arena to hit the town on fall 2017.

Becasue nothing screams “Original Six hockey team” quite like cheap pizza some little dude in a toga.

And, as the video ends, Olympia Entertainment shows the Little Caesars “Little Caesar” mascot’s nose can even fit inside the all-encompassing logo.

There’s a new swooping logo accompanying the Little Caesars Arena name, and it symbolizes a lot of different things. Tom Wilson, president and CEO of the family’s Olympia Entertainment, said the new logo symbolizes everything from a hockey puck to pizza, from the ice rink to a stage for music acts, as well as energy and motion.

Ilitch said to have the company’s namesake in their hometown on a world-class facility is “an incredible tribute”.

That new arena is finally on the verge of having an actual name.

But not everyone likes the name.

The Red Wings will soon move out of Joe Louis Arena, which opened in 1979.

As you probably know already, the new complex is part of “District Detroit”, a large multi-block development that will include retail, residential, parking, and more.
