One little girl couldn’t hold back her excitement when she spotted her dad, Lt. Daniel Ogelsby, after his eight-month deployment.

Oglesby was deployed to Kuwait in February with the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, leaving behind his wife, Karis, and another daughter, Layla, 4.
After the ceremony was complete, Karas and her sister, Layla, were able to give their father a very warm welcome home. “I wasn’t gonna tell her no”, Daniel Oglesby told KKTV News.
“We all understand. That’s their moment. But once you see the look on their faces when you get back makes it worth it”. Among them, the book, “Lily Hates Goodbyes”, which is about a young girl whose dad also goes away on deployment.
Despite the formality of the ceremony, he reached down to sweetly hug her back and give her a kiss. They are all heartwarming and so sweet, but this one is particularly adorable.

The soldiers were in formation during the service after returning to Colorado from the Middle East but when the 3-year-old saw her dad in line, she couldn’t help herself.
