Fans are extremely excited about the possibility of One Direction and Little Mix sharing the same stage.
During the show, the band also led the crowd in a rendition of Happy Birthday in honour of an audience member named Chloe after Styles spotted a banner declaring it to be her big day.
Things could have been very awkward for Perrie as the act she and her Little Mix bandmates opened for at Tuesday night’s festival was none other than One Direction, but as we all know her famous ex Zayn Malik is now well out of that equation.
Take That’s show – which was beamed to millions of viewers around the world via Apple TV – was the second gig of the Apple Music Festival following Ellie Goulding’s opener on Saturday night (19.09.15).
One Direction fans turned up 24 hours before the show to set up camp in a bid to get last-minute tickets.
The band, who are due to take a hiatus for at least a year from March, earlier announced the title and release date of their new album in a video message.
“Grown is so good, I am still not over it”, wrote another.
The Apple Music Festival continues until September 28, with performances from The Weeknd, One Direction, Pharrell and Florence + The Machine still to come.
