Liverpool: All smiles in Reds training after Chelsea win
With smoke machines, spotlights and blue lasers before the game in west London, everything was box office about this encounter.

However, their defensive problems are still an issue as the Reds have failed to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League all season.
Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp couldn’t contain his glee at the defender’s goal, leaping out of his seat and pumping his fists.
The Reds picked up an impressive 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge courtesy of goals from Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson.
“Liverpool controlled the game in the first half with a lot of possession, changing position”, Luiz told ChelseaFC.com (via the Echo). On Friday’s evidence, his team are title contenders. “But I was really happy with the style of play and the confidence”, he said. My answer was: ‘Are you crazy?’ I remember it. We’ve had a great week in training so everyone was positive. “We have been training well and I had a good feeling going into the game. When you finish in 10th it means we are to work very hard to improve and not repeat the bad season”. Now it’s not enough because it’s not the first time this happened.
“For this reason we must pay attention in every single moment of the game, in every minute”.
“The second half was a bit better, we scored and had some pressure but I don’t think we had a big chance”. Lucas Moura and Augustin scored the remaining goals of the match.
“We need this player there in the centre who we can play with and if there’s a ball behind the line sometimes, so that we can go there and can push up in the last line”.
“I’m very clear with my players: when a player deserves to play, I put him in the team”. Defeats are never good.
The Reds are now 6th in the league table, five points behind leaders Manchester City and have already beat the likes of Arsenal and Leicester City.
Despite Diego Costa pulling a goal back, Klopp’s men held on for a deserved three points which moved them up to fourth in the Premier League.
He was right, especially when it came to Chelsea’s first half performance.

The German was also full of praise for his defence for not allowing Chelsea to snatch a late equaliser, having conceded seven goals in four games prior to the game at Stamford Bridge.
