Maybe he has too much time to think about Liverpool problems.
Klopp saw Dejan Lovren, Kolo Toure and Philippe Coutinho join Liverpool’s injury list during Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Stoke City in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final at the Britannia Stadium.
The Reds in negotiations with Aston Villa to cut short the loan deal of Tiago Ilori, but Klopp is keen to add an experienced centre-back to his squad too with the Portuguese youngster yet to make a Premier League appearance. It’s not a problem. I don’t really have time to think about this.
Jurgen Klopp has dismissed criticism from outside Anfield that his playing style has contributed to Liverpool’s injury crisis.
The Merseyside outfit have been left with no fit central defenders ahead of Friday’s trip to Exeter City, and they are reportedly looking to secure the 27-year-old on a short-term deal before the FA Cup clash at St. James Park, per David Maddock in the Mirror.
“I haven’t read what Sam said”, Klopp said.
“The problem is now people speak about the intensity of my style – I didn’t create a style, how could I?”
Klopp, who has already grumbled about the lack of a winter break in England, has often said there are misconceptions about his methods. “I am not a genius”, he said Thursday.
“We play only football and a team like Liverpool and the ambitions the club have is that we have to find a way to be successful”.
“But we have to react and that is what we try to do”.

“At the moment there’s only time for recovery and the game is our best session in the week, or our only session”. It’s average running, football is not all about more.
