Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp preparing for Emre Can exit

SPAIN Barcelona will feel the most pleased of all the Liga sides with their January transfer business after capturing coveted playmaker Philippe Coutinho and signing Colombia defender Yerry Mina. Yes, of course. I think everybody knows that but I think it was really sensible to do it. “Emre is still a young lad but he has developed into a great player and is very important for us”.

While Klopp has been happy with Van Dijk’s start at Anfield, he admitted that he doesn’t expect to see the best of the Dutchman until next season.

Klopp said of the Dutch defender: ‘Our defending is different to Southampton or Holland so it makes sense that [he] gets used to it.’ Keeping van Dijk benched at Huddersfield was ‘a purely physical thing, ‘ he added.

“Tottenham is another game where we really need to be fearless and to show that we are ready. West Brom was a bad game for the whole team, then it made sense to rotate. It’s what we expect, he has lots to do and work on”. “What the rest of us have to do is to also have good moments when were are not playing like a dream”.

“It’s expected to be honest, completely normal”.

Lucas Moura and Andre Ayew climbed into the 10 costliest deals of the January following their deadline day moves, with Theo Walcott completing the top 10.

“At Huddersfield even when it looked afterwards like we were quite comfortable we did not know before the game it would be this kind of game for the defence”.

The Premier League has not been dominated by the club and the last major award to get misty over was won way back in 2005.

Klopp was appointed Reds manager in October 2015 following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers and would subsequently guide them to two finals, in the League Cup and Europa League, both of which they ultimately lost.

Their only defeat in the last 14 league and cup games was by 4-1 at Manchester City in December.

“But if you are going to go on a run like them you need that luck – and they have had that this year”.

“I think we need to at least go one round further so that Clyney can be involved, there’s no chance for him in the next round against Porto”.
