While Liverpool were quick to distance themselves from reports that they are sounding out possible replacements for Rodgers, this great club would be negligent if they were not involved in that process now. We’re also on Instagram.
Ancelotti’s Real Madrid played against Liverpool in the 2014/2015 Champions League group stage.
Liverpool face Carlisle in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday before Aston Villa go to Anfield this weekend.
Rodgers spent almost £100m on new signings in the summer transfer window in a bid to close the gap on the Premier League top four after a sixth-place finish last season.
Ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Klopp, though, is the front-runner, with odds of 5/4, with the German now on a break from football management following seven “intensive and emotional” years in charge of the Bundesliga side.
