Liverpool ‘have pace to burn’ says Leicester goalkeeper Schmeichel

Goals from Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane put Liverpool 2-0 ahead, only for terrible play by emergency centre-half Lucas to hand Jamie Vardy a goal for the visitors.
“When I speak about this, I have to say (to the fans). please don’t sing my name before the game is decided”, Klopp said on Saturday.
“Today, we showed it in a few moments but I hope we can do better”.
It was a sobering evening for Leicester, who have lost twice already this season, having been defeated just three times in their title-winning campaign.

“We will take the positives away from the game, if there are any, and look at the negatives”.

Liverpool’s only goal this season is to qualify for the Champions League, and with one league game per week, there’s arguably no excuse to ignore Sturridge for the striker role (if he’s fit). “We got the two goals in the first half, but let them back in with some sloppy play from ourselves”.
Things will not get any easier as Leicester try to juggle the demands of the Champions League, which begins for them this week with a trip to face Club Brugge.

“Yes, I am in a good way, but you have to work”, he said.
