The 20-year-old right-back has clearly caught Klopp’s eye early on, having been on the substitutes bench for all three of the German’s previous matches in charge.

Jurgen Klopp will be without Christian Benteke for his team’s Capital One Cup match vs. Bournemouth Wednesday.

“It’s nearly contagious and it gets onto the players and the fans, and I’m sure the more goals we get Anfield is going to be rocking”.

“I have not been here long enough to understand everything about the meaning that English people attach to cups”.

“I think it’s one of the reasons I’m here”.

Football, on the whole, has changed and so has the role of the winger, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the need for a player to be able to play out wide.

“It’s hard to see in the stadium but our balance is getting better and better in terms of when we are attacking”. Whether it be an on song Torres, Louis Suarez or Daniel Sturridge, the Merseysiders always have had pace in their team. We didn’t have the easiest opponents to play against.

Teixeira has featured for the first team before under Brendan Rodgers, but for Brannigan and Randall it is a significant show of faith.

A good performance against Bournemouth could convince Klopp to add Enrique to his European squad when the registration window reopens in the New Year.

“From the first day he can see everyone Could Become a very, very good player… when I heard Liverpool took him, I thought “good choice”. No, no, no. I really want to win and this is why we change”.

“There were many good moments in the game”, he said.

“We have a very important competition every three days and we have to find a solution”.

Klopp insisted that, in time, he would address the development of young talent “next to my first job which is to win games”. “He is in the Brazil national team, and the last game I think he played as a nine, so he can play there”, Klopp said.

“You score the goal and you want to win, but it didn’t happen for us today”.

The striker is once again recovering more slowly than expected from an injury and has not yet returned to training after picking up what appeared to be a minor knee problem.
