Liverpool keen on deal for £25m rated Newcastle midfielder Wijnaldum
Klopp has already brought in four new players this summer and reports claim he’s on the verge of sealing a deal for Estonian centre-back Ragner Klaven but the Reds boss wants more options in midfield and it appears Liverpool are now in pole position to sign Wijnaldum.

It’s hard to blame Newcastle for trying to milk all the money they can out of whatever club ends up signing Wijnaldum, especially considering the amount of Premier League TV money that’s been floating around.
He is not the sort of controlling midfielder Liverpool manager Klopp had initially wanted, but deals for Piotr Zielinski and Mahmoud Dahoud have proved complicated and both remained out of reach.
Liverpool are also close to signing Ragnar Klavan, 30, from Augsburg. While Depay has openly admitted that his first season at Old Trafford was disappointing, Wijnaldum would have been more than happy with his 11 goals and five assists last campaign.
However, if Klopp feels he could either move someone, like Lallana, and maybe switch to a 4-3-2-1 formation, Wijnaldum could fit into the clubs plans.
Wijnaldum is valued at £25m ($33.1m) by his current employers as they are looking to make profit on the investment they made a year ago.
However, Wijnaldum will face stiff competition for a starting place in the Liverpool team.
Newcastle are resigned to losing the Dutch worldwide and Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing him after his pursuit of Udinese’s Piotr Zielinski ended in frustration, report the Liverpool Echo.

As such, the German is prepared to part company with them in order to acquire Wijnaldum, who scored 11 goals previous year in his debut Premier League campaign.
