Liverpool keen to back up Arsenal win at Burnley

Switching from pedestrian to brilliant to absolutely awful back to pedestrian during a roller-coaster 90-minutes in their season opener away to Arsenal last weekend, Liverpool look very much like a side that could visit Burnley FC tomorrow and either flatten them completely or come up short at the hands of the newly promoted side.

Striker Daniel Sturridge and midfielder James Milner are in contention for Liverpool ‘s trip to Burnley after returning to training this week.

“I know that when we are at the matches, because I will take his seat now, he will be with us”.

“Just because you don’t play doesn’t mean you can’t have a huge impact off the bench, as happened many a time last season”. But Liverpool scored none or one in half of those games and, if Burnley don’t come on to them as bigger teams do, it is questionable how effective Klopp’s side will be.

Liverpool fans would have been pleased to see their teams display in the opening match of the season against Arsenal.

“We’re in a tough league, the squad is going to be tested to the limit, so I think any new players are a benefit, and for him to come in as a record signing with such a good background, it’s a real plus”, he said.

“He was so thrilled about them being in the Premier League and had a claret and blue funeral”.

A major loss for the Liverpool team is Sadio Mane, who picked up an injury in training.

“It is all about doing the right thing in the right moment and we feel quite confident we did it and now we have to prove it”.

Burnley have retained nearly same set of players who last appeared in the league two seasons back.

“We are now in the Champions League and we need something more to play against the big teams”, said Ranieri. That’s the vast difference in the market.

“Football is a game you can not play without making mistakes”.

Think you can do better than Lawro?

“He [Defour] knows it will be a challenge for us”.

Burnley took an early 1-0 lead over Liverpool on Saturday, with Sam Vokes scoring the opening goal of the game for the hosts.

John is surprised that Jurgen Klopp has yet to recruit a starting left-back at Liverpool. Their 1-0 defeat last week against Swansea was their first league defeat of 2016. The 24-year-old enjoyed his best season in the Premier League so far in the last campaign, and now has sufficient experience to establish himself among the division’s top performers.

Liverpool have played Burnley only four times in the last seven years, though on each occasion have triumphed without conceding a single goal.

That the Senegal global will be denied the chance to add to that shimmering impression at Turf Moor due to a shoulder injury sustained in training on Wednesday presents a window of opportunity.
