Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp criticizes himself despite victory

Oxlade-Chamberlain went one better just two minutes later, beating three Liverpool players before rifling the ball through a crowded area and past Mignolet.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp blamed himself for almost costing Liverpool victory after he sprinted to join his players in celebration following the Sadio Mane strike which put the Reds 4-1 up against Arsenal yesterday.

“It’s disappointing because in the first half we should have come out with at least a one-goal lead and then 10 minutes later you are 3-1 down”.

“Physically we are not ready”, Wenger told reporters at the Emirates Stadium.

“I have a big, big part in the excitement in the last half hour”, said the German, “because it’s not allowed to celebrate the fourth goal when there is still half an hour to go”.

“It’s always desperate because there’s not much time left but I don’t know what you’d call desperate, it has to make sense and be quality'”.

Henderson, though, was enthused by an attacking display that saw Liverpool score four goals at Arsenal for the first time since 1928.

But he insisted that he’s “very pleased with the three points” and looked forward to “a good week’s training again” and then the build-up “away to Burnley next”.

“The crowd was a little bit angry obviously and Arsenal fought back, showed character and scored the goals”.

“It was pressure but not the highest pressure”.

“But at the end, and over the whole 90 minutes, it’s a deserved win”.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp feared he had celebrated too soon.

Supporters will desperately hoping that Arsenal up their game in time for Saturday’s trip to the defending champions Leicester, otherwise Wenger will be in serious trouble at this early stage in the season.

Arsenal were beaten 3-4 by Liverpool at the Emirates after a whirlwind second half on Sunday. “It isn’t necessarily the inexperienced players that cost us the goals”.

“That was massive for us and we came out in the second half like we were possessed, it was brilliant”.
