Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho will hope to transform Manchester City and Manchester United’s fortunes, while Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool are also among Sky Bet’s leading contenders for the title.

Liverpool have been handed a brutal start to the new Premier League season.

The 2016/17 Premier League fixture list has been announced and Arsenal will face Liverpool, while Bournemouth will tackle Manchester United on a thrilling opening weekend.

Sunderland spent all of last season playing catch-up on their Premier League peers after a terrible start saw them register just three points from the opening nine games.

Arsenal have also been fortunate with their league games, finding themselves at home for four matches after playing in Europe (Hull (A), Burnley (A), Middlesbrough, Tottenham, Bournemouth, Stoke).

Mourinho’s first return to former club Chelsea comes at Stamford Bridge on 23 October (AEST), with the return at Old Trafford on 16 April (AEST).

The first North London derby is pencilled in for November 5th.

Manchester United are then at home to (currently) managerless Southampton before heading off to play Steve Bruce’s newly-promoted Hull.

Probably the most intriguing game, though, is Arsenal vs.

In a tasty-looking London derby, Antonio Conte’s first assignment as Chelsea manager is a home game with West Ham. The Blues have home games against newly-promoted Middlesbrough and perennial strugglers Sunderland, with a trip to West Brom sandwiched in between.
