Liverpool’s Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino reveals he hasn’t always played up front
All the signs are there that Gerrard will be brought back into the fold – Tom Werner even said last May that he saw the now 36-year-old as having an important place in the club’s future. We have the only attacking options I want.

Liverpool star Roberto Firmino has revealed his football career could have ended up very differently.
Klopp’s side put four past Arsenal and champions Leicester City so far this season and the Reds boss attributes the success in front of goal down to the collective work rate from the whole team. “I would say we gave a masterclass in games without the space created by Sadio”.
“I played defence right the way through until the Under-18s”.
“This afternoon there were really hard decisions to make with Roberto [Firmino] – a very good player and it was only a little issue, but I had to make the decision in the end to say it was not possible [for him to play]”, explained the German manager, addressing his absence in his post-match press conference. I always try to do a bit more than I am asked. I don’t like to stop. We don’t have slow players but he is a specific kind, a good footballer and that makes it an enjoyable package. But when I am inside the pitch, that is it.
Now, what wasn’t all that surprising at all was that Sturridge – despite working hard in the first half – was subbed off ten minutes after the break with the England man looking leggy.

Speaking about the game itself, the German added: “Chelsea are physically really strong and we expect that from Chelsea”. Keep going. That is the way it is for him and that is the way I like to play. “We want to win football games and we can not care where it is”. “You always have to be in motion”.
