Liverpool’s Klopp: ‘This is my squad now’
“So I want them to do the things because they want to do it, that’s all”.

Jurgen Klopp was left anxious seeing Marko Grujic hospitalised following a collision with Bertrand Traore in Liverpool’s International Champions Cup defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday.
However, he insisted they “have to bring in their quality”, and that doing so – adding competition to the squad – will “push all the others onto the next level”.
However, Klopp has no desire to sign a short-term fix and is ready to stick with the three-cap global for the coming season, with midfielder James Milner being lined up as an alternative option in the role.
“I am not interested in the money of the players, actually not really often in my life I have had to fine anybody because I want that we learn together to do the thing that is right”, Klopp said.
“We built this team only to be successful, not one where we say we will have to wait”.
“We’d like to challenge to win the league but we finished eighth past year so you can’t say “unless we finish second or third it’s not success”.
“If you all swim in the same pool, the pool is too small if you all go for the same players”. But as long as we’re moving in the direction and we’re competitive in every game we play and coming into April we are still not far off the top of the league, that’s success.
The premier league will be a feisty competition this season with the worlds best managers and players head to head.
“We will try everything 100 percent and see what happens”.
Liverpool have made seven new signings in preparation for the 2016/2017 season, including Georginio Wijnaldum, Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Alex Manninger, Lorius Karius, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan.
“It’s not boring but you know everything about each other so how can you develop?”

Afterwards Fabregas apologised to the Liverpool player, who recovered from the challenge and should be fit for Liverpool’s next game against AC Milan, although it is thought that Fabregas will be banned from playing against Real Madrid. “That is what we work for”, the 49-year-old said. “I am pretty sure I can not make all the ones everyone likes, but I have to be convinced about it”.
