Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho hoping to take flight after double against Chelsea

Fans at the bar are excitedly declaring that they will definitely win the race for Pogba’s services but for Chelsea it could all depend on whether they turn around their season and qualify for the Champions League.

Coutinho will likely be rested for our midweek trip to Russian Federation, with precedence being put on the Premier League fixture versus Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Adam Lallana has praised Liverpool duo Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho on the back of Saturday’s win over Chelsea.

“I think everyone’s happy with the result”, said the Brazilian. “We just need to win a few more now and I am sure that mentality and confidence will come where we think, ‘We can go there and beat them'”.

“We can’t spend too much time thinking about this one, we have an important game during the week, and I hope we can perform well again and win”.

What Newcastle manager Steve McClaren said to Jack Butland after this weekend’s game was unrepeatable according to the Stoke goalkeeper, but you could hazard a pretty good guess after the 22-year-old produced a number of outstanding saves to keep the score at 0-0 and earn his side a valuable point at St James’ Park.

“I’ve been working quite hard on all aspects of my game”, he added. “I haven’t been playing well, it wasn’t a good phase for me, but I always concentrate on working hard”.

The Brazil worldwide felt the performance demonstrated the early fruits of working with former Borussia Dortmund coach Klopp on the training ground and warned there is plenty of improvement left to come ahead of Thursday’s clash.

Liverpool and Philippe Coutinho took team and player of the week honors in the Associated Press Global Football 10 on Tuesday for beating Chelsea 3-1 in the Premier League.

“I hope it can be a turning point for me, I hope so”.

“Ah, yes, that was for my daughter – my wife is pregnant and we’re expecting a little girl”, revealed Coutinho.

Perhaps fittingly for a game played on Halloween, Riyad Mahrez ghosted in at the back post not once but twice, in Leicester’s game against West Bromwich Albion, to overturn a first half deficit and help his team to a 3-2 victory at The Hawthorns.

“I’m always looking to improve and I hope from now on I’ll continue improving, not only me, but the team, which is the most important thing”.
