Jordan Henderson has been the object of ridicule amongst Liverpool fans at times this season, but the England midfielder was the hero of the night on Friday as his wonder goal helped Jurgen Klopp’s side to an impressive 2-1 win over Chelsea.

Unsurprisingly, Lovren has nothing but kind words for the hug machine who has taken control of the team and guided them to winning 7 points out of a possible 9 away at the Emirates, White Hart Lane, and now Stamford Bridge in the first five games of the season.
Diego Costa struck just after the hour to raise Stamford Bridge’s hopes but Chelsea were unable to find their way past a determined Liverpool backline, sending Conte to his first defeat since taking over at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Conte sent a warning to his players that they will need to improve defensively if they are to succeed under his management.
It was one way traffic as Chelsea struggled to get Costa into the game – the Spain global only had two touches inside the box in the first half. “The first goal came after a free-kick which they took very quickly and the second after a throw-in”.
“We played with good intensity and anger in the second half”.
Chelsea were well beaten as Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson goals gave them a deserved 2-0 lead in the first half. I think we played brilliantly, especially in the first half. Defeats are never good.
‘It’s too early to talk about that but we are positive and we can keep playing well, ‘ said Lovren who recovered from an eye injury to play on Friday.
“We’ve been brilliant the last few weeks and in training we’ve been brilliant all week, so I had a good feeling going into the game [and] we produced”.
“It’s important to understand that every game is tough and we mustn’t forget last season”. “We must pay attention in every single moment of the game, in every minute”, he said.
At this level it’s important to pay attention to the details.

Diego Costa earned the Blues a point away at Swansea City last weekend and he initiated another comeback attempt with his sixth goal in as many Premier League appearances with 29 minutes remaining. “If we keep listening to what the manager says, keep working and keep performing like that, then we’ll see where we are at the end of the season”.
