Liverpool will be patient with Sturridge, says Klopp
Everybody wants him back but we all have to learn the situation.

“It wasn’t flawless. We can have a complete new team [and think] ok, s*** we didn’t train together, but with time they can get better and better”.
“They did well but we knew [about them] before and that it can be hard to defend against them, so you have to be better with the ball and then they cannot do this”.
“I can tell you that I am not sure that Robert Lewandowski could have developed in the Robert Lewandowski of today in England because no one is patient enough to wait for this”, Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.
Sturridge has played just three games this season, and only seven since October 2014.
Klopp dismissed the idea that he has concerns over Sturridge’s long-term fitness due to his injury record in the last 12 months.
The Belgian striker has struggled with injuries since Klopp took the helm at Anfield but won a penalty and scored in the 2-1 win over Bordeaux on Thursday – his third start under the German. “I don’t know. But five weeks in a row without playing means he needs matches”.
Teenage midfielder Jordan Rossiter is likely to figure for Liverpool in an Under-21 Premier League match against Manchester United on Monday after more than a month out with a hamstring problem sustained on England under-19 duty.
“It’s always important how far you are away from the position you dream of – it’s better eight than 20 but two would be better than eight!”
“Of course it was important”, said Klopp. He has a big step ahead of him now.
“The thing is, with professional football, it’s not often any player will take to the field 100 per cent fit”.
“If he is in this shape we can use him and he can help us”.
“They deserve big credit for that, and you don’t judge them on that performance”. Klopp has cast doubt over Christian Benteke’s place in the starting eleven after raising doubts over whether he can play twice in three days so Roberto Firmino could start up front, just as he did against Man City last weekend.

They have a ideal opportunity to keep the winning going with a match against Swansea City in Anfield this Sunday. It’s good for both of us that I’m here.
