Loan Deal For Arsenal’s Wilshere?

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists loan signing Jack Wilshere will propel his side to new levels after the midfielder joined the Cherries on a temporary basis from Arsenal on transfer deadline day.

Others, meanwhile, have been quick to note that Wilshere is the second member of England’s doomed European Championships squad to be sent out on loan to a less illustrious club.

The Arsenal manager, though, is not about to allow Wilshere to join any of the North London club’s principal rivals for a top-four finish in the Premier League and might instead prefer a move overseas for the player.

The Frenchman seems to prefer the combination of Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla in central midfield.

However, following a run of injury setbacks, the combative midfielder has recently struggled to cement his place at the heart of Arsene Wenger’s side.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has the final decision on where he will spend this season on loan, and he appears to have plenty of choice.

“I had a good chat with the manager and feel sure this is the best place for me to play and develop this season”, said Wilshere in a statement on Twitter. “Thanks for all of your support as always”.

Wilshere famously went on loan to Bolton back in 2010, where his displays established him as one of English football’s brightest prospects. “It’s a big thing for us. It can only help your chances”, Howe said, as quoted by the London Evening Standard.

Their sporting director Frank Baumann spoke on Tuesday of his confidence the winger’s arrival was imminent, and after the signing was confirmed said: “We are delighted that Serge has chose to sign for us, even though he had a number of different options”.
