Local Church Honors Veterans
After the end of World War II, legislation was introduced to change the name of the November 11 holiday to Veterans Day, to honor all US veterans who had served in all wars.

American Airlines employees and family members who served during the Vietnam War era (1955-1975) were recognized and thanked for their service at a recent event at Dallas-Fort Worth global Airport.
We will continue to honor those who fought and continue to fight for this country’s freedom on Wednesday, November 11. The unseen part was what triggered his flashbacks of his time on Navy patrol boats. The worst believe the nation has forgotten them or just does not care. They deserve so much more!

Since 1927, the Texas Veterans Commission has been leading the way in Veterans services. But it is a challenge that we must face.
I sincerely want to thank any veterans reading this for their inspiring service.
Veterans Day is a day set aside to honor America’s veterans and in Union County that means a day full of activities to honor local veterans. It has cost us dearly. It’s an honor to have served my country and yes I’d do it again.
All participating veterans are eligible for this documentary project, whether they served in combat or not. And, yes, if you see men and women wearing the uniform today, stop them and thank them.
I shudder at the thought of what our country would look like without the fearless men and women of our armed forces. The inscription on the tomb reads, “Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God”. When you needed them they had your back. Hold your politicians accountable for the debt this nation owes each veteran.
To me Veterans Day is a kind of closing of a season that began with Memorial Day in May. Take a moment to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and let the words wash over you. Many have paid lip service, with flags, bands, and words that have given us hope for the future, when it comes to the question about “solemn pride in the heroism” of the sacrifice and patriotism of the average GI Joe.
America is still at its truest form as long as we see and acknowledge them.
