The deal included former Wal-Mart stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Additionally, the first 50 adult shoppers at the store will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag, among other giveaways.

Additionally, Dollar General is opening 1,000 stores in fiscal 2017. “We hope our West Columbia customers will enjoy shopping at Dollar General’s new location”.
Dollar General and Family Dollar sell items across a range of price points, while Dollar Tree prices items at $1 or less.

As part of its huge expansion plans, discount retail giant Dollar General is planning to hire 10,000 new employees nationwide in the next month.
