Local Mother Shares Video After Son Doesn’t Call Home
Ann Pinto McCarney, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, posted a almost five-minute video to Facebook Wednesday directed squarely at her son, 18-year-old Liam McCarney, a college freshman at an East coast four-year college.

But she’s got her own back on him after the excruciating clip went viral, and Liam has now been called out in front of more than 200,000 people.
“Hi, do you remember me?”
I’m your unbelievable mum!
“Well actually, I didn’t quite give birth, I had to have a C-section to get you out – big scar and hurt like hell – but that’s OK”. I know my hair’s a little shorter, but I kinda still look the same, right?’ she says, adding casually: ‘I haven’t heard from you in a while and I thought maybe you forgot about me’.
McCarney texted Liam the day before she posted the video to give him a heads up, although she says humor runs in their family so he was not surprised and not fazed by it at all.
“Hi, Liam. Remember me?”
McCarney, a 46-year-old theater teacher, told NBC Philadelphia that Liam did eventually call, and that the video was all in good fun.
“That being said, a Mamma’s gotta call him out!”
Ann Pinto McCarney, 46, hadn’t gotten a call from Liam McCarney, 18, since he packed up for school a few hours away.
As well as reminding him of all those times she was there for him growing up, she also made sure he knew how to use a phone.
“I know I’m supposed to call you”.
