Lochte feels ‘hurt’ after Dancing with the Stars incident
Police in Los Angeles have since confirmed that two men were taken into custody following the incident. Viewers watching the live show on TV saw a split-screen of Lochte’s performance and one of the show’s judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, scoring his routine. Two men wearing anti-Lochte shirts walked onto the dance floor, according to ABC. As they approached Lochte, women in the audience who were also outfitted in the shirts, chanted, “Liar!”.

The Olympic gold medalist has been at the center of controversy for the past month due to an incident that occurred while he was in Rio de Janeiro for the Summer Games.
Lochte has been the subject of negative publicity and public derision after he admitted to exaggerating claims that he and fellow United States of America swimming teammates had been robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics. After the lie was revealed, Lochte lost all four of his sponsors and was suspended from us swimming competition for 10 months. The show cut to commercial break following the disruption, and when it returned host Tom Bergeron said there had been “an incident”.
