On Monday night, ABC introduces season 23 of the reality show, with the following 13 celebrities: Ryan Lochte, Rick Perry, Amber Rose, Laurie Hernandez, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Marilu Henner, Calvin Johnson, Jake T. Austin, James Hinchcliffe, Jana Kramer, Maureen McCormick, Terra Jole, and Vanilla Ice. “I’m shocked and I’m hurt for Ryan”, partner Cheryl Burke said.

When it returned, it was not clear what had happened and the U.S. network ABC has yet to issue a statement clarifying the incident.

At the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Ryan Lochte again fell under the worldwide spotlight, but this time was for falsely claiming robbery. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba could be seen trying to urge the person off, yelling, “Excuse me!”

Lochte brushed the side of his head and looked uneasy before the show cut to commercial.

I should note that I’m gathering most of these facts from Twitter, by the way; what the home audience actually saw was a prolonged shot of Inaba saying, “Excuse me!”

Host Tom Bergeron could be heard calling for security.

“We had to go to break because we had a little incident”, Bergeron said. I would like to personally thank our security team for staying in shape. When the show returned to the broadcast, Lochte appeared unharmed but still affected by the incident. He was recently suspended from all swimming competitions for ten months after making a false robbery report at the Olympics, where he said himself and three other swimmers were robbed at gunpoint. “A little hurt. I came out here and I wanted to do something I was completely uncomfortable with, and I did”. “Me and Ryan have gotten the pleasure to know each other and he’s is an fantastic guy”.

Inaba resumed her comments and said the judges were there only to judge his ballroom dancing.
