Lochte vs. Phelps: An end to a 12-year rivalry?
If they do decide to swim in 2020, and Lochte said this morning that he really needed a break from swimming, Phelps would be 34 and Lochte 35. Hopefully the race will be remembered for Phelps’ win, not the flub.

Michael Phelps signing a huge flip flop.
An Olympics commentator working for Canadian broadcaster CBC suffered embarrassment on Thursday night when he confused Michael Phelps for rival Ryan Lochte.
In reality, it was Phelps who was blowing his competitors out of the water. “It just makes it fun”.
After a journo asked Lochte whether he was glad to live in the era of Phelps, he modestly replied, ‘Yes and no.
Phelps has insisted throughout the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro that these will be his final games despite still racking up gold medals.
The Michael Phelps=Ryan Lochte rivalry might not be dead after all.
“I apologize, I got my lanes mixed up”, he said, before solemnly saying correcting himself and saying “Phelps, with the gold”.
Both also took home gold medals after being a part of the winning 4×200 free relay team, along with fellow teammates Conor Dwyer and Townley Haas. The second-most decorated US men’s swimmer in history just turned 32 years old and said Friday he’s taking a break from the sport, although he didn’t rule out returning for Tokyo.
Could their be another swimmer to fill the gap of Lochte’s famously flamboyant style, including even green hair?

Lochte said the same thing after the 2012 Games in London, and he was right. “I nearly died when I saw it”.
