The committee has sent a mail to BCCI president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke, asking them to intimate the associations in this regard. The worry before the BCCI is that the since the verdict was pronounced, the Lodha Committee members, who have been authorised by the Supreme Court to oversee the implementation of the reforms, have been quite proactive and hands-on with the developments.

The reason for the summons is not hard to discern.
“Due to the supervening circumstances arising out of the order passed by the Supreme Court on 18 July, relating to the implementation of the recommendation of the Lodha Committee, it has become necessary to cancel the AGM already convened to be held on 31 July, so as to implement necessary amendments”, legal advisor Ushanath Banerjee told reporters after a meeting with the CAB top brass. He, however, refused to elaborate on the issue.
The BCCI is had been planning its own meeting in a few days time, most likely on Monday in New Delhi. As per the Lodha guidelines, Patel will not be able to contest again because his tenure exceeds three terms, the upper limit fixed by the panel. None of the BCCI members was available for a comment.
Kolkata: The Supreme Court’s judgement on Lodha Committee’s report may have a bearing on the Cricket Association of Bengal which may postpone its much-anticipated annual general meeting slated for 31 July.
Former Goa Cricket Association (GCA) president Shekhar Salkar on Saturday said more clarification is needed on some of the Lodha Committee recommendations calling for massive overhaul of the functioning of BCCI and administration of the popular sport.
Post the court order on July 18, only Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association made a decision to hold its elections and even elected a serving minister in the state government as its president.

Still Patel (in pic) attempted some bluster on Friday. “Let them come out with… if there will be a president, 3 vice-presidents, or one vice-president or will there be an apex council, there is no clarity on that… what we are doing with the BCCI, will they replicate the same thing”.
