Logan’s Secret Scene Teases This Marvel Character’s Sequel

As one of the few remaining mutants, he keeps a low profile while caring for an aging and ill Professor X, who’s hidden in a secret silo just south of the Mexican border. A mysterious woman (Elizabeth Rodriguez) begs for Logan’s help with Laura (Dafne Keen), a young mutant being pursued by dark forces.

Mangold also suggested that a contributing factor was to make sure that nobody would question their assurance that this would be the last one for Jackman. There is swearing and limbs flying off and I had a massive grin on my face the whole time.

As the third and final Wolverine movie, Logan has a lot riding on it. Logan is its titular character’s last ride, his swan song, his finale.

Or is he? A little girl claws her way into his life, and suddenly it’s evil scientists, armed goons and genetically enhanced villains all over again.

Filmed in the brutal summer heat of Louisiana and New Mexico, Logan was heavily influenced by Shane, the 1953 story of a tired cowboy drawn back into violence after trying to settle down with a homestead family.

After the fight, Laura buries Wolverine and recites a movie quite she overhears earlier in the film. In a meta moment, Logan tells her that she shouldn’t believe all she reads. So, the bad news is that this appears to be Hugh Jackman’s final hurrah as the claw-wielding mutant. Yes, all roads lead to Deadpool it seems, and in a recent interview with MTV, Stewart noted that a role in the Ryan Reynolds-led series could justify more Charles Xavier.

What makes the movie different from other superhero flicks is the way director James Mangold has dealt with the subject – without hesitating to show his ageing superheroes go into battle while they fight their own inner demons. Maybe they think people are more likely to see Logan if they haven’t seen the post-credits online. I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. At times the movie can straight up get heart wrenching and I can’t praise their performances enough.
