Logitech announces a new “ultra-light” mechanical keyboard for gaming and eSports

Instead, Logitech designed its own “Romer-G” switches and tasked Omron with building them. As for the G410 itself, it has that tenkeyless design that eliminates the numpad for a smaller footprint and less wasted space while typing/gaming.

The keyboard uses Logitech’s exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches which the company claims can register key presses around 25 percent faster than those found on standard mechanical keyboards (they have a 45 gram actuation force and a 1.5mm actuation point, making them easier to press than most Cherry keys). Plus, the compact design brings your hands closer together for improved comfort, which is particularly important for low DPI-gamers.

The G410 uses center-illuminated RGB backlighting for gaming in the dark.

Also available is the option to individually customize the color of every key on the board, with the ability to choose from a 16.8 million color palette. It’s essentially a stand for your smartphone or tablet. More information is available on the official product page. And you don’t have to be gentle: the G410 Atlas Spectrum has increased stamina-up to 70 million keystrokes. Gamers can disable unwanted keys with Game mode and audio controls are integrated.

Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of gaming at Logitech, commented: “We worked closely with gamers of all ages and our eSports teams to create this ultra-light keyboard that is durable and comfortable”. The Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum delivers uniform lighting coverage on the keys for a clean, readable look.

Besides its proprietary switches, Logitech also includes a unique slide-out “Arx Control” dock that can hold a phone running the company’s Gaming Software app. This mobile app allows easy access to Logitech peripheral settings while gaming.
