Congress today demanded action against BJP MP Virendra Singh for his alleged objectionable remarks against Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Congress and Trinamool Congress MPs on Thursday staged a walkout from the Lok Sabha, protesting primarily against the remark made on party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and chief whip Jyotiraditya Scindia by BJP member Virendra Singh a day earlier.
The delegation which also included K C Vengopal, Ravneet Singh Bittoo, Sushmita Dev also complained against Singh for making “unparliamentary” remarks against Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Amid this war of words between the two leaders, the Speaker said what Mr Singh had said was “wrong” and cautioned him against repeating it. She even went on to say, “what is the harm in apologising?”
Noisy protests by Opposition Congress over alleged politics of vendetta marred business in Lok Sabha for the second consecutive day today, with an unrelenting Speaker going ahead with the Question Hour and Zero Hour amidst the din. Members of the party, including its chief Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, then left the House.
The Rajya Sabha witnessed disruptions ever since it met in the morning.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said while he was not condoning the remark of Singh, the way Congress MPs were repeatedly coming to the Well of the House was also condemnable and should not be repeated.

Soon, Congress members rushed to the Well raising slogans like ‘jurm ki rajneeti nahin chalegi’ (We will not allow politics of repression). “The House needs your protection”, he told the Chair.
