The police chief said its counter terrorism command investigation – Operation Classific – continues, involving hundreds of officers from across the counter terrorism network.

Police said Masood was known by a number of names.
“Our determination is to find out if he acted totally alone, inspired by terrorist propaganda, or if others encouraged or supported him”, he said. She is reassured by their vigilance and said, although there is a feeling of a larger threat risk right now, it can’t stop people from experiencing and enjoying life in London.
They added that Masood, who recently converted to Islam, was born in the county of Kent in southeast England and was most recently living in the West Midlands region of central England.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack which killed three people and ended when an officer shot dead the attacker.
“His first conviction was in November 1983 for criminal damage and his last conviction was in December 2003 for possession of a knife”.
On Friday, Rowley, the assistant commissioner, reiterated comments from Prime Minister Theresa May, saying that authorities had viewed Masood as a “peripheral figure” and that he had not been part of the general intelligence picture. The Metropolitan Police gave Londoners more information this morning on the ongoing investigation into the attacks at Westminster earlier this week.
“He had a wife, a young Asian woman, and a small child who went to school”.
On Wednesday night seven people were arrested on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts – including three women and four men ages between 21 and 39-years-old.
According to The Guardian, the attacker was born on Christmas Day 1964.
Two officers remain in hospital with “very significant” injuries, one of whom has been identified as PC Kristofer Aves.
