‘London Has Fallen’: Gerard Butler is Under Siege in Exclusive New Clip

Butler doesn’t do sequels to his live action films but in our exclusive interview during his special visit with Marines and their families at Camp Pendleton, he explained why he thought Olympus Has Fallen deserved a follow-up.

Kevin Styles, Managing Director of Vue Entertainment UK and Ireland, commented: “We are constantly looking for new ways of rewarding our loyal customers and are excited to offer them exclusive access to the latest blockbusters and big screen experiences”.

Although Gerard’s United States Secret Service agent character Mike Banning is intent on foiling the murderous plans, the 46-year-old Scottish actor admits he thought the content of London Has Fallen might rub people the wrong way when he initially read the script.

The “Olympus Has Fallen” follow-up centers on a terrorist attack that occurs during the British prime minister’s London funeral, which has drawn attendance from leaders around the world.

Butler will next be seen in the action thriller film “London Has Fallen”.

“Don’t rest on your laurels”, said Butler, who also produced the film.

London Has Fallen reaches US cinemas on 4 March (16). The first, directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer), pits beefcake Gerard Butler’s disgraced presidential bodyguard against North Korean terrorists who want the nuclear code.

You may remember “Olympus has Fallen” – a movie about a president taken hostage – for bearing a striking resemblance to Channing Tatum’s movie “White House Down“, which came out three months later.
