London mayor calls Trump’s comments on city ‘utter nonsense’
“The prime minister completely disagrees with the comments made by Donald Trump, which are divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong”, said Cameron’s spokeswoman, Helen Bower.

I’ve gotta press you on that.
“Now that Trump, aided by the media, has doubled down on the cruelty and know-nothingness that defined his campaign’s early days, the ‘can you believe he said that?’ novelty has curdled and congealed into something repellent and threatening – laying bare a disturbing aspect of American politics”, Huffington wrote.
Appearing on various talk shows Tuesday morning, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump rejected criticism of his proposal to ban all Muslim immigration to the United States.
Geert Wilders, the head of the Dutch Freedom Party, a far-right group that is represented in parliament, supported Trump’s call.
Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) called on his fellow candidates to condemn Trump.
“There’s no problem. I’m just doing the right thing”, he told CNN. He is empowering radical Islam. Muslims in the United States and around the world denounced it as unconstitutional or offensive.
Writers, analysts and officials across the Middle East condemned Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump Tuesday after his demand for all Muslims to be banned from entering the U.S.
“That’s how you win the war”.
In a confrontational exchange with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, Trump, his voice hoarse, defended a ban as necessary: “We’re at war”. You’ve never worn the uniform….
Democrats, meanwhile, blamed Republicans for Trump’s extreme language and warned it could help him with primary voters.
But his latest statement was particularly jarring, and it unleashed severe condemnation on Twitter, including from other Republicans running for president.
John Kasich slammed Trump’s “outrageous divisiveness”, while a more measured Ted Cruz, who has always been cautious about upsetting Trump’s supporters, said, “Well, that is not my policy”.
“This is not a policy debate”, he told MSNBC.
As with most stories involving Trump’s run for office, it serves as another reminder of how terrifying it is that he has been allowed to get this far with his campaign, which has thus far centered nearly entirely around the billionaire cultivating support by virtue of flagrantly fascist remarks, which Trump tellingly hasn’t even bothered to sugarcoat.
Asked if he’d back Trump if he was nominated by the party in 2016, Ryan responded, ”I’m going to back whoever the Republican nominee is”.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) responded in a tweet, calling Trump “unhinged”.

“I’m not concerned about lasting damage to the party”.
