Lone gunman at large after wounding 4 in northwestern Washington DC
Fifth District police officers responded to a call at 4:24 p.m. June 8 of a shooting at the intersection of New York Avenue and North Capitol Street Northwest.

Police are on the lookout for a man connected to the shooting that injured four men in NoMa yesterday afternoon. He is in good condition and is expected to be OK, Lanier said.
The westbound lanes of New York Ave. between Florida Ave. and New Jersey Ave. are blocked as police investigate.
Police are searching for the gunman, who fled the scene after the shooting.

“The suspect is described as a black male, 5’6”, medium brown complexion, wearing a black mask, dark colored trousers and a black jacket. Police say the vehicle that hit the officer stayed on the scene. Police updated an earlier description said the suspect wore all black. The officer had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
