Longmont weather: High of 30 with a chance of snow tonight
Then prepare for a shot of cold Friday, the National Weather Service says.

Tonight, partly cloudy skies are expected with lows in the mid-30s.
The clouds will keep temperatures down today, with highs in the mid-70s.
While 40 percent of the state’s snowfall total occurs in January, 30 percent falls in February, according to a National Weather Service report. Between 1 and 2 inches of snow was measured at Shirley and Bill Wallin Elementary School in Henderson in the extreme south valley. It was so warm overnight that these cities had already reached those highs by 7 a.m.
However more precipitation – both rain and light snow are possible later this evening and through the overnight hours.
A high rip current advisory is in effect for coastal waters through Friday night.
Temps will return to the 40s Thursday as the work week begins to wind down.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast today before 11 a.m.in the Knoxville area with highs in the lower 60s.

Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 42 with an overnight low of 22.
