Looks like the iPhone 7 won’t be waterproof – but will be slimmer
For comparison’s sake, the iPhone 6s is now 7.1mm thin, so if this report comes to fruition, the iPhone 7 will be just 6.1mm thick.

A credible Apple leaks site Mac Otakara, has revealed some interesting news about the impending generation of iPhone. Furthermore, the report adds that the device will visually be similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, retaining the same metal design with the same height and width, and will not be waterproof.
The rumor goes on to reinforce the report that the 3.5mm headphone jack will also be dropped as part of the effort to shave a millimeter off the thickness. We’re not sure if this applies to the iPhone 7 Plus, but the iPhone 6s Plus measures 7.3mm. One way it can do this – and a clue that thinness is still on its designers’ minds – is a newly granted patent, number 9,142,908, for a cut-down headphone connector.
There will be some of you wondering how Apple will be able to stop a repeat of what we have seen in the past where an iPhone becomes thinner, and in doing so begins to bend in people’s pockets – and so sparking those bendgate reports. IPhone 7 is said to be unveiled later this year, toward the last quarter.
The iPad 9.7-inch iPad Pro, expected to be shown in March alongside a 4-inch iPhone SE, might come with a 12-megapixel camera, according to 9to5Mac’s sources.
iPhone 7 may be Apple’s first to rock out with stereo speakers.

In order to reduce the thickness of the iPhone 7, Apple is likely to make use of slim-sized Lightning port. Rumors indicate that users will have to make use of wireless headphones from Beats to listen to the music on iPhone 7.
