Lorde and Sam Smith join Disclosure for SNL slot
Going into this weekend, “Saturday Night Live” made a fairly interesting choice when it comes to its musical guests: It announced the special surprise guests before the show even aired! However, she seemed to disappoint many viewers who thought that she was not singing live.

But the New Zealand-born songwriter was adamant this was not true.
She later tweeted, “We’re just a bunch of kids from far away places and we played on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! it’s all a bit overwhelming and i’m insane grateful”.
Lorde has dealt with accusations of lip-syncing using her trademark Lorde chill.
During the duo’s performances of singles “Omen” and “Magnets” off their recently released album Caracal, brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence brought out superstar vocalists/pop stars Sam Smith and Lorde to sing their guest parts on the tracks, respectively.

And of course, it wouldn’t have been a proper Lorde performance without a few fierce hair whips and electrifying dance moves. Singer Lorde also appeared with the duo to perform another song, “Magnets”.
