Los Angeles Airport authority seized almost 67 illegal snails in a cargo
The Los Angeles airport authority seized almost 67 snails that were illegally transported from Nigeria in a cargo.

According to the report, the snails, which is believed can grow up to 8 inch long, were seized from a cargo on airport.
The program manager for Customs and Border Protection, Maveeda Mirza, explained that these snails can carry bacteria leading to life-threatening disease in humans.
She added “These snails are seriously harmful to local plants because they will eat any kind of crop they can get to”.
An investigation has been launched into why anyone wants so many snails.
