Los Angeles Clippers Forward Blake Griffin Returns to Practice
With just eleven games left in their season, the Los Angeles Clippers could be bringing back their star forward Blake Griffin right before the postseason. Griffin must serve a four-game suspension before he can return to action, and he’s yet to be activated as of Saturday afternoon … That could soon change, as Doc Rivers announced the power forward will begin practicing with the team starting on Saturday, per Dan Woike of the Orange County Register. That time is now, and when Griffin, Rivers and the Clippers believe he’s ready to play in a game, he’ll then be activated. If your fantasy playoffs will still be ongoing at that juncture, Griffin should be picked up. “I don’t know if one practice is enough to – I think we got to activate him when we think he’s ready to play”.

To make up for Griffin’s absence, the Clippers received increased play from just about everyone on both units. “I think just trying to build on what we did last game and pile up wins is more important”.
After practice, word came from a Clippers spokesman that Rivers said Griffin looked “phenomenal” in practice and did not sit out at all. And there will be rust, Rivers said, “because you’re not playing basketball”. “Don’t know if they’ll go in unless I shoot it, so it’s one of those things I’ve gotta shoot my way out of”. “I just think as it’s gone on, it’s gotten harder and harder, because it takes a lot of energy to win games”. I don’t see that. Kobe Bryant led the scoring with 28 points, Jordan Clarkson added 20 points while Julius Randle racked up a triple-double of 13 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists but it was nowhere near enough to beat the Nuggets who took control of the game with a dominant 34-15 second quarter.

“If you would’ve told me that was our record, I would’ve signed on the line right away”, Rivers said. I think at times, he probably is; anybody would. “I don’t think he’s hesitating much, which I don’t want him to”.
