Mission High School students Hope Robertson, left, and Cat Larson yell as they protest with other high school students in opposition of Donald Trump’s presidential election victory in front of City Hall in San Francisco, Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016.

The demonstrators were among thousands who took to streets in protest of Trump across the country, from NY to Texas to much of the West Coast.

“Very unfair!” Trump tweeted after he reached NY following a day of hectic meetings in Washington DC.

Thousands of people across the country took to the streets early Wednesday morning to protest the election of Trump based on concerns about comments he made during the campaign and policy proposals that have some in the USA concerned about the direction the country is taking.

Condemning Trump’s litany of crude comments about women and his attacks on immigrants, demonstrators marched along city streets, blocked intersections, burned effigies and, in some places, gathered outside buildings bearing Trump’s name.

President-elect Trump reacted for the first time to the protests on Thursday. But for the Electoral College votes, Hillary Clinton, who won the popular votes, would have defeated Trump.

Police said on Twitter Thursday night they were taking increasing reports of vandalism and aggressive behavior as hundreds of people marched through the city.

Anti-Trump protesters also staged a demonstration in St. Paul on Wednesday night. Maybe it is not so much of a conspiracy-theory to ponder who could be behind such a coordinated “peaceful” protest and why.

Many people carried signs reading “Not My President”, “Love Trumps Hate” and “Save the Earth”.

The news magazine said the array of lawsuits will sap the energy of the 45th USA president from January, as he begins the task of choosing his cabinet. Trump himself had said during his campaign that he might not accept the result of the election.

Protesters then headed north on Southeast Grand Avenue, as they did Wednesday night. They had said earlier charges could include rioting – a felony. Portland police said that protesters marched to the Pearl area where they are damaging businesses. The founder told the station that “Trump is going to be our president”.

In New York, an estimated 5,000 angry people converged on Trump Tower – where he now lives – shouting slogans such as “dump Trump”, “Trump is Hitler!” and “Not Our President!”. Police said demonstrators made their way onto the freeway and traffic was halted in the northbound and southbound lanes for about a half-hour.
