With the final season of Kobe Bryant, World Peace might be the player that the Lakers are lookign for to pair with him.
So the question is, does World Peace still have anything left in the tank?
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Lakers front office is “seriously considering” signing Metta World Peace as a free agent.
In addition, Wojnarowski shares there are varying degrees of interest within the organization about bringing him back.
World Peace has been in the Lakers’ practice facility this offseason playing against the team’s players, including 2014 first-round pick Julius Randle, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
According to various reports, one of the NBA’s most colorful characters from the past 15 years is steps away to returning to the Los Angeles Lakers.
New York Knicks forward Metta World Peace (51) during the game against the Milwaukee Bucks at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Lakers lack depth at the small forward position. He appeared in 29 games that season and averaged 4.8 points in 13.4 minutes per game before being waived.
