Louis C.K. shadowing NYC mayor for unknown comedy project
Indeed, he spent the day tailing Mayor de Blasio to prepare for an undisclosed “new project”, -perhaps an HBO reality series about a pair of political frenemies?

A plurality of New York City voters think Mayor Bill de Blasio does not deserve reelection in 2 years from now, as his approval rating drop to the lowest net rating level, according to a new Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday afternoon. Even among Black and Hispanic voters, he has a 54 and 48 respective approval rating. So far, C.K. has traveled with Hizzoner to an appearance in Brownsville, and attended a state budget board meeting where de Blasio was giving a speech.
The election calendar keeps getting shorter.
Rising crime – particularly gang-related shootings – is a sensitive subject in the city of 8.4 million where rates fell steadily under previous mayors Michael Bloomberg and Rudolph Giuliani.
Racial gaps in Mr.de Blasio’s support persist.
New York’s murder rate jumped more than 10 per cent in the last year, forcing the mayor on the defensive on Tuesday over any suggestion America’s largest city is returning to its dark days.

The Jewish Comptroller also has a positive rating among Republicans, as 41-33 approve his job performance, while 80% disapprove de Blasio’s job performance as mayor. More voters surveyed in the poll suggested that they felt that Cuomo better understood the needs and problems of New York City than its mayor. It’s a front-page headline that likely won’t help those poll numbers. To add insult to injury, this Quinnipiac University poll showed city voters backing Mr. Cuomo 58-36 percent.
