Louis Planned Parenthood in Saturday morning rock-throwing attack

Ohio’s attorney general says an investigation found no evidence that Planned Parenthood made money from aborted fetuses, but it did discover that aborted fetuses from Planned Parenthood facilities are ultimately disposed of in landfills.

In its lawsuit, Planned Parenthood said it’s always abided by the directive that fetal tissue be disposed in a “humane” manner and has never been cited by the Ohio Department of Health, which licenses abortion facilities in Ohio, for violating those regulations. Planned Parenthood denied the attorney general’s assertions and said its medical disposal methods were no different from those of any other healthcare provider.

Several large glass windows and a door at a Planned Parenthood center in St. Louis were shattered by a vandal Saturday morning, causing “thousands of dollars” in damages, according to the organization’s regional president and CEO.

In addition, the Planned Parenthood clinic in Bedford Heights, Ohio stated it uses only one company for disposal. The court filing says that DeWine “has arbitrarily singled out Plaintiffs and claims that their actions in following infectious waste rules nonetheless violates the fetal tissue rule”.

The Charitable Law Section requested financial documents and records from the specific Planned Parenthood clinics as well as companies they contracted.

In response to the released report, Planned Parenthood Advocates of OH released a statement saying, “This is simply not true”. Such donations are illegal in OH, and a Planned Parenthood state leader has said no donation program exists in the state.

“Disposing of aborted fetuses from an abortion by sending them to a landfill is callous and completely inhumane”, DeWine said.

“The attorney general has done thorough work and his findings are disturbing”, Kasich said in a statement. “We’re inspected regularly to ensure that we’re handling fetal tissue properly and legally”. Employees say at around 8:45 am a woman showed up at the location took rocks from the buildings landscaping and threw them at the windows breaking them all.

Attorneys for Planned Parenthood accused the state’s health director, Richard Hodges, of abandoning his standard process of providing notice of alleged non-compliance and providing an opportunity to correct such issues.
