Along with restoring the almost 100-year-old building, they plan to install new seats in the stadium, as well as putting in more suites and a brand new press box.

On Tuesday, the league’s owners voted to let the St. Louis Rams move to Los Angeles for the 2016 seasonand to build what’s supposed to be the NFL’s biggest stadium on the site of a one-time racetrack.

But one thing you can say about St. Louis – it is a rabid sports town, full of fans who attend their teams’ games when they can, watch them on TV when they can’t, and talk about them the rest of the time.

Oakland is back on the clock to make their case to keep them.

“I grew up in Missouri, and there’s a lot of wonderful people in St. Louis and Missouri”. This is when the destination city of Los Angeles would be chosen.

“It is troubling that the league would allow for the relocation of a team when a home market has worked in good faith and presented a strong and viable proposal, ” Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon said. This gives the Rams an advantage on fans, corporate deals, sponsors and media deals. “They have to start selling tickets if they are going to L.A. They are going to be competing with the Rams who are already selling tickets”, he said. With NFL owners rejecting that option, the Raiders pulled out of the deal, meaning that team will remain in Oakland – at least for now. Instead, the owners approved the Rams’ plan, but said that the Chargers would have the option of joining with the Rams.

“I have been in contact last night and today both with the city’s negotiator, Chris Melvin, and with the City Attorney, Jan Goldsmith, so we won’t have any trouble exchanging information”, Fabiani said.

Stan Kroenke’s stadium in LA is going to happen. If the City of San Diego fails to put together a proposal to build the Chargers will leave.

“The team is committed to having the Rams playing in LA in the next edition of Madden NFL”, EA said in a statement shared with GameSpot.

It’s unclear when the Rams will move, where they will hold training camp or where they will house a practice facility.

The Los Angeles Raiders played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum from 1982-1994, before returning to Oakland in 1995.
