English football club Manchester United on Monday roped in Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero as David de Gea is still uncertain about signing for the Premier League team. With Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schinederlin joining Manchester United this summer we look at the potential United squad and find out whether or not they will be able to clinch the title this season.
Januzaj also appears to have benefited from a summer holiday to Dubai, in which he and left-back Luke Shaw were accompanied by a member of United’s coaching staff to work on their fitness.
‘But when I was about to punch him, I decided not to do it. Instead of that I punched a wall three times.
The Mexican striker spent last year on-loan at La Liga giants Real Madrid after being deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford following the arrival of Radamel Falcao. “That’s my preferred position but I’m happy to play anywhere for the manager”, he said.
His first season at United however, was blighted by injury, issues of weight, and the burden of unfulfilled expectations that came from the hefty transfer fee. It would surely be a hard choice for Louis van Gaal to give every player decent amount of playing time.
“I’m looking to add to what I did last season with the confidence I had, especially in the last few games, and take that into this season”.
Winger Ashley Young, out of contract in 12 months and yet to sign a new agreement with United, is hoping an impressive start to the new campaign can earn him a deal.
