Louis van Gaal certain Manchester United “goals will come” in do-or-die clash
United’s task is made more hard by a litany of injuries, the most notable of which means they are without England striker Wayne Rooney, who has an ankle problem.

Goals have been hard to come by, and United’s often listless displays have frustrated fans, but van Gaal is counting on Schweinsteiger, pictured, to guide them through a tricky tie in Germany. You never know. I think they would, though.
However, Van Gaal believes he should be contributing more.
“I am not so anxious but we have to pass over this period because it is too long that we don’t score”.
“The goals are coming, that is my strong belief”, he said after two points dropped against West Ham United left them fourth in the table.
“You have to prove yourselves, as a club, as a team and as players”, added Van Gaal, who won the competition with Ajax in 1995.
A club source recently told the Mirror that they weren’t overly anxious about Champions League progress this season, saying: “Our focus has changed”.
Louis van Gaal believes it is crucial that Manchester United produce a winning result in the Champions League on Tuesday night. We need to get over this period because with the chances we are creating we could be first in the league.
“The guy who has the opportunity, they have to feel they want to score a goal and are going to score”, he said. In addition, they will be aided by the fact that Manchester United has been struggling to score goals as of late.
“He is very talented but we have to say also he is just 20 years old so we have to give him time”, says the Old Trafford boss. “Because of that now we are three points behind Leicester City because we don’t score one goal today and that is the difference”.
“When I have to reconsider our season I will say our matches against Arsenal and Crystal Palace were the matches when we were not the better team”. “As a manager I know we must score but when you ask about the performance as a team, I am satisfied”.
‘We are aware that we must improve our game and how we finalise our plays (the most important thing), and that’s what we are working for at the training complex every single day.

“You can train every day on shooting at the goal and you have to know that we are doing that”.
