Louis van Gaal challenges players to prove they belong at Man United
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is not happy with the pressure being placed on Anthony Martial to score goals for the now misfiring club.

“It’s very important for the club to continue in the Champions League, and also for the players”, Van Gaal said.
Martial will bear the responsibility of ending United’s woeful record in front of goal in Tuesday’s must-win Champions League clash at Wolfsburg – despite the Frenchman scoring just once in his last 13 matches.
“Of course, I understand that you are frustrated, because we are too, but we have to keep looking ahead, give everything in each game, and we will get the results that we want”, Mata wrote.
“I think he can play even better in every game”, Van Gaal said after Saturday’s goalless draw with West Ham in the Premier League when Schweinsteiger blatantly elbowed the Hammers’ Winston Reid.
“That is always hard when you are playing for a team like Manchester United because the expectations are very high”.
“Normally we create more chances than our opponent but you have to finish because football is scoring goals, but that’s also the important aspect of football”.
“We have the destiny in our hands and know what we have to do to get through”. We shall try to win, of course. He is keen to continue their run in the Champions League, and for his team to complete the job in Germany rather than hope for a favourable result in the game between PSV Eindhoven and CSKA Moscow.
Louis van Gaal’s need to beat Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg on Tuesday night for the Red Devils to be assured of their place in the last 16. “Of course it’s not going to be as easy here as at Old Trafford, but we have to prove ourselves here and I’m convinced we will play a good game tomorrow evening”. Yes, you have to score from those chances and we didn’t do that.

In order to win United will need to score, something they’ve had trouble doing this season. “Because of that now we are three points behind Leicester City because we don’t score one goal today and that is the difference”. You can not expect that a 20-year-old, in his first year in the Premier League, scores every week. “The goals are coming, that is my strong belief”, he said after two points dropped against West Ham United left them fourth in the table.
