Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal insists that goalkeeper David De Gea will stay at the club even if they finish outside the top four.

“I have told Bastian I won’t be writing him off for the European championships”, Loew said when Schweinsteiger suffered his relapse.

“It makes me laugh because I know it is for my own good and that he wants me to be a perfectionist”.

“I think of the arrogance and there is enough testosterone there not to fear anything that Man City will throw at Man United next season if he goes”.

According to Spanish Newspaper Marca, United’s assistant manager Ryan Giggs is the right candidate for the position and has always been a manager in making.

“I don’t think Schweinsteiger shall play this season – I think, next season, he is prepared”, Van Gaal told MUTV.

United supporters from different generations have insisted they will not renew for next season if Van Gaal remains in charge. I had come through the system with Adnan so it gave me a boost and all young players need that. [U21 manager] Warren Joyce helped me very much, particularly in the aspects I was not so good at.

“As Manchester United, you have to get results”, Van Gaal said. You think so. Okay. “You have seen this season that a lot of players have played in the full-back position because we have a lot of injuries in that position”. Fosu-Mensah has played in the Netherlands in the youth systems at centre-back and also in midfield. The United striker made his return in a United side full of first-team experience, including Phil Jones, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Paddy McNair, being tested in a holding midfield role. It is fantastic what Marcus has done until now but you can not compare him with Ronaldo.
