Louis Van Gaal out? Manchester United lose again
Louis van Gaal’s position as Manchester United manager is in serious jeopardy after his side’s wretched form continued with a 2-0 defeat at Stoke City yesterday.

Van Gaal and Manchester United will look to get out of this slump this Monday against Chelsea, who had recently fired Jose Mourinho despite winning the English Premier League title a year before.
Speaking to Sky Sports directly after the match, Van Gaal said: “I try to do everything but the pressure shall be every match higher and higher. I have to deal with that, but much more important is that the players have to deal with that because they have to perform”.
On the possibility of Manchester United sacking him, Van Gaal told the BBC: “That is something I discuss with [executive vice-chairman] Ed Woodward not you”.
Check out Van Gaal’s interesting comments in the clip below. “I said already that it’s another situation because we have lost a fourth match in a row”.
United have lost four games in succession in all competitions for the first time since 1996 and gone seven games without victory for the first time since the 1989-90 season. He will replace Louis Van Gaal should the Manchester United board dismiss the Dutch tactician or he (Van Gaal) leaves at the end of his contract with the club (Manchester United).
Chelsea’s Boxing Day draw with Watford left them just two points above the relegation zone, while United have not tasted since their 2-1 win over the Hornets in November.
While van Gaal has largely attempted to maintain his dignity and keep his cool in light of increasing scrutiny and mounting pressure, he finally appeared to crack in a press conference before the Stoke match, and followed that fixture up with a scathing attack on his team.
Van Gaal insisted United didn’t “dare to play football” against Stoke.
He said: “It is not always the club that has to fire or sack me”. I’m not so interested in public sayings.
“And in the second half, in half time, I have said that to my players, we had nothing to lose and then you can cope better with that and that you have seen in the second half that it was not good enough”, he added.

“We have got another game quickly to get ourselves ready for and we have got to stand up and be ready for that”. “We were excellent first half and it would have taken a very good side to stay with us”.
