When X Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack declared Johnson as the victor, her mentor Rita Ora can not contain her happiness.

However, One Direction are the outliers, so it’s worth looking at how the other X-Factor stars have done.

The official Midweek Chart is in, and it’s looking like Adele is going for a fourth week at the top of the United Kingdom charts with her third studio album “25”. “I’m not into all that anyway”.

Louisa Johnson has reached number one in the download charts. – Ouch. As you can imagine, that didn’t go down too well with the Directioners… Party late into the night?

And voting breakdowns suggested she monopolized the entire competition – earning the top spot every week, with just two exceptions.

But for now the star joked that she was completely skint.

‘So I went to a performing arts school – singing, acting, dancing – it was much easier and I was so happy’.

And that long-awaited work, which features contributions from Dev Hynes, Ed Sheeran and Diplo, will be an edgier departure from the bubblegum fun of “I Will Never Let You Down”.

This weekend, X Factor viewers threw their support behind Louisa Johnson, and crowned the 17-year-old the show’s youngest-ever victor.

And it turns out she could have found fame when she was even younger.

After the band performed Simon Cowell, who along with former judge Nicole Scherzinger is credited with creating the group when they first auditioned, took a moment to thank them.

This year she felt ready.

“She said it’s all about trying different things until it feels right”.

“For me to be in the final in the best year for talent is a massive honour”.

Rita Ora, her mentor added: “I am so proud to have even been a part of her journey and I can’t wait to see how she flourishes as an artist and hear her music”. “Thank you so much”, she said through her tears.
