His tenure included a deployment to Iraq.

Other Missouri court records obtained by The Associated Press reveal that Long filed for divorce from his wife in February 2011, that the couple did not have any children and that he represented himself in court.
Military officials identified the masked gunmen who shot the officers Sunday as Gavin Long of Kansas City, Missouri.
The letter is another attempt to ease tensions between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve after several stunning examples of violence in cities across the country.
Three law enforcement officers – Montrell Jackson, 32, a 10-year veteran of the Baton Rouge Police Department; Matthew Gerald, 41, on the force for less than a year; and Brad Garafola, 45, an East Baton Rouge deputy sheriff for 24 years – were ambushed and murdered by a lone gunman. Investigators are still working to validate the authenticity of mountains of videos and online writings that Long is suspected of posting online under the pseudonym “Cosmo Setepenra”.
Authorities say Long stalked Baton Rouge police before ambushing a handful of them.
One of the ramblings posted on Long’s Twitter account on July 13 read: “At what point do you stand up so that your people don’t become the Native Americans…”
The founder’s son said he didn’t know Long and the group doesn’t espouse violence.
Obama telephoned the families of the Baton Rouge officers on Monday to offer his and the first lady’s condolences.
The source also told CNN that Long had filled a prescription for Ativan, an anti-anxiety drug, as recently as June. Two other persons of interest were taken into custody and are being questioned.
“There is no doubt whatsoever that these officers were intentionally targeted and assassinated”, Louisiana State Police Superintendent Colonel Mike Edmonson told a news conference.
The shooting deaths of three officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Sunday pushed the number of law enforcement fatalities past a tragic benchmark. “Why did he pick Baton Rouge, why did he pick that location right there, and why did he kill police officers?” One them was hospitalized in critical condition, described as fighting for his life with gunshots to his head and stomach. Long, Sunday’s shooter, was black.
Standing by his side, and also distraught over the death of the three Baton Rouge law enforcement officers, was Sandra Sterling, Alton’s aunt.
On July 8th, following the deadly police shootings in Baton Rouge and Minnesota, and the attack in Dallas that killed five police officers, Jackson wrote on Facebook that he was exhausted “physically and emotionally”.

He sought out officers in a city where one of the police killings had occurred, and he took their lives in retribution.
